Our mission

At TIKVA, we provide community, training and holistic support for women and children in crisis.

Meeting needs and empowering lives through the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.

Tikva means “hope” in Hebrew.

Our vision

To see vibrant, thriving communities of women and children find their positive and productive places in God’s global family.

What we do

Four ways we walk alongside women and children.

The table

TIKVA Sala

A hot, nutritious meal for up to a hundred women and children every week, and a table where no one eats alone.

Our story
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
Hebrews 6:19

TIKVA was born on the streets of Medellín during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the Venezuelan migration crisis left more women and children than ever in extreme vulnerability. Founder Rebekah Slick and Team TIKVA answered with help and hope, and haven’t stopped since.

How you can help
