At the heart of Medellin, Colombia, TIKVA serves as a territory of peace for women and children in crisis in our city. This community-based program was born amidst the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic and paralleling Venezuelan migration crisis, which resulted in unprecedented numbers of women and children in situations of extreme vulnerability in the inner city. Our response? Team TIKVA hits the streets with an offer of help and hope and provides related programs and services to those who respond. TIKVA represents a firm conviction that a life genuinely entrusted to God yields a better today and a bright hope for tomorrow. TIKVA offers aid and training programs for those facing extreme adversity, and a Christ-centered community to strengthen them on their journey. With a firm belief in the transformative power of hope in Christ, TIKVA strives to cultivate vibrant, thriving communities where individuals find their positive and productive place in God’s global family.
